End-of-Term Activities

End-of-Term Activities

A meaningful conclusion to each term through immersive experiences.

End-of-term activity week is one of the most anticipated moments in our school calendar. Rather than winding down, we wind up — dedicating the final days of each term to immersive, meaningful experiences that celebrate everything students have learned and accomplished. The programme takes different forms each term, and its varied nature is precisely what makes it special.

–  Sports Day

Where every student is an athlete.

Competition, camaraderie & school spirit

Students come alive during Sports Week — a term-ending celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and friendly competition. Events are designed to be inclusive and energising, with inter-house races, team sports, and challenge relays that get every student moving, cheering, and belonging.

Parents and families are warmly invited to join as spectators, turning the day into a full community celebration. Each event wraps up with an awards ceremony where house points are tallied and achievements are recognised.

–  Concert

Every child, a real artist.

Music, performance & the joy of the stage

Our end-of-term Concert is a highlight of the Primary school calendar — a lively showcase of musical talent, singing, and performance that fills the hall with energy and pride. Students take to the stage to perform pieces they’ve worked hard on throughout the term, from class ensembles to individual acts, giving every young performer a moment to shine in front of family and friends.

–  Field Trips

Learning that goes places.

Real-world exploration & curriculum connections

Field Trips take students beyond the classroom and into real-world settings that connect with what they’ve been studying. Destinations have included cultural landmarks, science centres, nature reserves, and university workshops. MYP and High School students attend separate destinations suited to their programme — each group going together to one shared location for the term.

–  Graduation

A moment worth celebrating.

Marking milestones & looking ahead

Graduation is one of the most meaningful occasions in the school year — a formal ceremony that honours students completing a significant stage of their education. Held at the end of term, it brings together students, families, and staff to celebrate the achievements, growth, and memories of those crossing into their next chapter.

–  Arts Showcase

Creativity on display.

Creativity, craft & student expression

Art Showcase is a dedicated celebration of student creativity across all disciplines — from culinary arts, visual arts, and performing arts. Works produced throughout the term are curated and displayed across the school, giving every student the experience of seeing their art truly celebrated. Families are warmly invited to explore the showcase and share in the pride of what students have made.

– Festive Celebrations

Every season, a celebration.

Culture, community & coming together

Throughout the year, Sequoia comes alive to mark the festivals and cultural celebrations that reflect our diverse school community. From Chinese New Year to Halloween and beyond, these celebrations are a chance for students to learn about one another’s traditions, share food and stories, and enjoy the colour and joy that each occasion brings. Activities vary by term and are woven into the school day in a way that’s fun, respectful, and genuinely meaningful.
